CASUAL SALES ASSISTANTS

Mike Pawley Sports employs casual sales assistants on a seasonal basis. You must be an energetic and motivated individual (aged 18+) with a strong work ethic to join our team and you MUST be available to work on Saturdays AND Sundays.

Responsibilities

You will play an important role in delivering great experiences for our customers and providing expert advice on our great range of brands and products. You will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to genuinely interact with customers and show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity

  • Be responsible for processing cash and card payments, lay-bys, refunds, etc.

  • Keep up to date with current and new products within our range

  • Assist in pricing and labelling merchandise on the shop floor and when stock is received

  • Assist in the Stocktake process as necessary

Skills required

As part of the sales team you will:

  • Have amazing communication and customer service skills

  • Be helpful and polite and have a confident manner and a friendly and engaging personality

  • Be comfortable working as part of a sales team

  • Demonstrate initiative and a desire to go above and beyond

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Be motivated, energetic, and passionate about achievement

  • Have sound PC, literacy, and numeracy skills

  • Be physically fit as you will be on your feet all day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock

 

Previous experience within a specialist retail environment is desirable but not essential. You will receive training on the job to enhance your understanding of footwear and sporting equipment.
