OUR RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

Our Refund Policy

Mike Pawley Sports will accept returns and provide you with an exchange voucher, refund (using your original payment method) or repair where:

  • The item is faulty or is not of acceptable quality, or

  • The item is not fit for its intended purpose, or

  • The product does not match the sample or our description; AND

  • You can present a receipt or other adequate proof of purchase.

We may elect to return the product to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the nature of the problem.

To expedite the refund process, please return your goods to the store in which you purchased them as this will facilitate an easier exchange, refund or replacement if applicable.

 

When You are NOT Entitled to a Refund

Under Australian Consumer Law, we reserve the right NOT to offer an exchange voucher, refund or repair if you misused the product in any way that caused the problem. For example, where the item fault was caused by:

  • normal wear and tear - A shoe's durability depends on factors like how many kilometres you run each week, what surface you run on, your style of running and your weight. Some people are “hard” on their shoes and need to purchase new shoes every 3-6 months as a result of the normal wear and tear that arises from their training regimes.

  • damage caused by using the goods in a way they were not meant to be used - e.g. shredding the upper mesh material of a running shoe (that was not designed to withstand heat abrasion) that can occur when rope climbing or when dragging your foot on the ground to stop yourself when skateboarding or cycling.

  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper use or not taking reasonable care of the goods - e.g. rips, cuts and tears that you cause to the product during use (such as your dog chewing your shoes).

  • accidental damage - e.g. taking a fall while trail running and hitting the side of the shoe with a sharp rock causing a tear.

  • not following the manufacturer's instructions according to the label on an item - e.g. washing a pair of leather cross trainers in hot water (when they are not washable) and causing cracking in the leather.

When You Change Your Mind

  • In addition to the above, you are NOT entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law if you simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.

  • However, as a gesture of goodwill, we will offer you 30 days to return your items for an exchange or credit note as long as they are returned in a saleable condition with the original proof of purchase. 

  • By saleable condition we mean that the item hasn’t been opened or used, is still in its original packaging and all manuals, packaging and accessories are included.

  • If you can’t provide proof of purchase we will be unable to provide you with an exchange voucher or credit note.

Proof Of Purchase Documents

All returns, refunds, exchanges or repair requests must be accompanied by any of the following Proof of Purchase documents:

  • Original register receipt

  • Original return/exchange receipt

  • Financial Statement (i.e. bank statement, credit card statement)

  • Other documents showing Proof of Purchase
